About Us

The Durham Eagles were co-founded in 1993 by Durham natives Rodney Rogers, a former NBA player, and Butch Williams, an attorney and sports agent.

The Durham Eagles is a nonprofit Pop Warner football organization serving the greater Durham area. For more than three decades, the organization has been dedicated to providing young athletes with opportunities to develop both on and off the field.

Our motto, "Excellence Through Commitment," reflects our belief that dedication, hard work, and perseverance are the foundations for success in football and in life.

To teach young people valuable life lessons through the game of football, we emphasize academic responsibility, self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, respect, and sportsmanship while helping our athletes build confidence and character that will serve them throughout their lives.
